I have to rename a great deal of files at a time always, its a vast task which costs a lot of time so I need a program can help me rename them automatically, where can I find this tool?
Solution
You can use Boxoft Folder Watcher, it provides "Monitor directory" for you, into which you can put files, and then it copies, deletes, unzips, compresses, renames, even launches them automatically. these make your work more efficiently.
1. Create renaming task by clicking button "New Task";
2. Check "Using Dynamic" naming for the traget file such as "D:\monitorfolder\{Titlename}";
3. Write a new value to displace the old value, and then add the rule to box below;
4. If your renamed file is already exist, you can select a option from the selection box such as "overwrite when the existing file is older";
5. Next, give the task a name such as "My rename task";
6. Browse a monitor directory for files you will operate, and then select a log directory for recording all your actions about copying.
After all above operation, what you should do is to put your files into monitor directory, and then check the output folder to check where are the output files you wanted to copy.
